Love this! Womenβs magazines were/are so toxic. In 2016, I wrote a big reported piece on my scary brush with a broken maternal healthcare system for Cosmo. For the photos, they hired a skinny, tan, tall pregnant model, put her in tiny underwear, and wrote WARNING in black body paint on her belly, all ostensibly to sex the piece up.

(Oxygen was in 2008 and we were all privy to the art director having to photoshop models for the covers and other photos. And, yeah, the glutes issue was the best, when they used us as "models" to point out our terrible, terrible flaws.)
